Two aluminum I.D. badges with the words "Konred Rosenbauer K.G. Linz-Wien-Austria" suggest the vehicle was converted by a Austrian coach-builder. The other badge, which reads "Hans Ebner Volkswagen" indicates a local VW dealer.

Within the cargo area is an original 50s-era Ziegler water pump powered by a 36-hp engine, which is mounted on two parallel rails that can allow for easy access and the ability to physically transport the pump to a nearby water source.

Much of the miscellaneous fire-fighting and rescue gear is stowed with neatly divided wood compartments inside the 1954 trailer. It is kept level and secure with the aid of two leveling stands at the rear corners. In addition, VW logo mud flaps hang below each fender.
